Steppes and fields of Kuban

Kuban is beautiful for its vast, and in the autumn – winter period of this football field, this is where you feel how great our country is. I would also like to note the quality of the roads, I do not mean the federal highway, and the usual roads between the villages, at least in our area, they are just wonderful.

Hunting in these places is ideally suited to age achievements, no need to crawl through impassable thickets of forests, not to be afraid of swamps and the possibility of getting lost, as it was in other places of residence. And the game here is peaceful, hares and pheasants, although several times you have seen wolves, even a pack of 8 heads. Continue reading

Nobody needs a beaver

On the streams and small rivers of the forest and forest-steppe zones of the European part of our country, one can often see traces of the beavers’ activity: bites, fallen trees, burrows, huts, dams. The latter can be both very modest buildings and true masterpieces of “animal architecture.”

Weapons and self-guided hunting for this beast occupy many pages of topics on specialized Internet forums. Practically in all regions where the beaver lives, it is of some interest for the hunting part of the population, but there are exceptions. The Rostov region is currently located on the southern border of the beaver’s habitat, but in its northern and northeastern regions in recent years this beast has become very noticeable. Altai with deer and ibex

Altai for me has become a place where I am constantly drawn. The reason to come here has always been a hunt. Mountains, horse crossings, field camp, and, of course, a variety of hunting species – this is the motive of my aspirations to Altai. Where I had to hunt in these places, there are no roads, only horse trails, so the movement to the place of hunting and on the hunt itself is only on horseback and on foot. I have been riding horses since childhood and so far, which gives me the opportunity to feel confident in the saddle and get great pleasure from it. Moreover, it is very organic and natural to hunt horses. On a horse, you can climb almost any secluded place in the mountains and bring with you all the necessary equipment. Continue reading

RUSSIAN TROPHY “SEVEN”

Trophy hunting appeared in our country relatively recently. More precisely, in the Soviet Union there was none at all, and the best elks ‘horns were used to decorate the hunting organizations’ offices, hangers and knob handles, at best. And only after wealthy people appeared in the new Russia, who do not always know how to occupy their leisure time, trophy hunting became one of the entertainments. The wealthy Russian hunters began to go abroad and learn from the European and African experience. Continue reading
